Making notes, relaying the information to your agency, waiting for them to make changes, receiving the amended artwork, noticing a couple more changes, sending back to agency and so on…. Sound familier?
By giving your marketing team or one of your employees that wants to master creative software you can keep amendments, changes & updates to artwork in-house, right there and then. We are not saying that the work these agencies do isn’t awesome but most creatives we speak to don’t necessarily want to be spending their days adjusting artwork they designed 3 years before.
This has got to be a big part of it. By doing some of the basic bits yourselves you can save on those £80+ ph agency fees. Most creatives will need to charge 1-hour minimum so even a few basic amendments, saving and sending back would be 1-hour minimum.
We aren’t saying that if you decide to re-brand your company that you should give Amy in HR a shot at designing the new logo but once you have all your branding & guidelines there is no reason you shouldn’t be able to use these and take some control.
